What
do I enter into my FTP program to upload my files?
- Although each FTP program
does basically the same thing, each has its own way of doing it. Here are some
basics to remembers:
- Under a Name or
Profile heading, type in the name of your account. If your account is
called "My Company", type in "My Company" (without the
quotes).
- If you are given an area
to type in a "Host Name", use: www.elitehost.com
- Use either an Automatic
or Unix type setting for "Host Type".
- Your UserID will
be the same as your Profile, but make sure to use no spaces between
words, and only lowercase letters. If your Profile is "My Company",
your User ID would be "mycompany" (without the quotes).
- Your Password is
cAsE sensitive and must be typed exactly as you submitted it to Elite Host on
your order form.
